New Oral CT Contrast

We have new oral CT contrast. It has 2 new great advantages. It's fast acting and tasteless. Your patient will need to come 45 minutes prior to their exam and we'll mix the new CT contrast with any beverage they choose (excluding carbonated drinks). It will be totally tasteless to the patient- we can even mix it with water and they won't be able to taste it.
No more having to give your patients 2 bottles of the old chalky contrast and having to take the time to give them the lengthy instructions on how to use it. Just tell your patient to be NPO and come for the appointment 45 minutes earlier than their exam is scheduled and that's it!
This contrast is new for us, but it's already been on the market for some time. It's a GE product that is currently being used at Johns Hopkins Hospital and many others.
